Patterns of Flight Over Winters
Last week with help from Yolo County Joe installed his multi-panel relief public art piece, "Patterns of Flight Over Winters". This artwork depicts the aerial landscape surrounding Winters, CA. Patterns include marshes, orchards, contour and straight set fields as well as irrigation canals and roadways. Aluminum, wood, Plexiglas, oil, enamel, and varnish, 6' x 22' x 8". You can see the artwork at the Winters Community Library, 201 1st Street in Winters, CA. You can watch the You Tube stop-motion video of its installation. Click Here

I very much enjoyed the experience of the installation in animation. It allows the viewer to experience the artwork in a way the artist originally experienced his conception of the design - by flying over the magical patterns of our agricultural landscape. Bravo Joe!
Nice work Dutch!
